Food is the essence of Whitley Ridge...from the sourcing of the best local produce, to the cooking of
delicious seasonal food in the relaxed brasserie style dining room "Simply at Whitley Ridge". Head Chef,
James Golding, focuses on creating simple yet mouthwatering dishes.

"We embrace our surroundings, and enjoy the wonderful local produce sourced from the Forest itself, and
from all parts of the county. Our menu changes regularly to reflect the seasons and the best produce available
locally each day. I am passionate about the provenance of the food we use."
James sources the majority of his ingredients locally - everything from local crab, free-range Hampshire pork,
New Forest biscotti, delicious local jams and honey.
The kitchen garden at Whitley has just been re-instated, a wonderful walled garden bursting with a variety of
vegetables, herbs and fruit. This enables James to stroll across and select fresh produce for each service - a
wonderful array of baby lettuces, rocket and chards, wild garlic, asparagus, and a host of fruit trees.
Chickens roam around at the bottom of the garden providing a constant supply of free-range eggs!
So, sit back and enjoy some home-grown food in wonderfully relaxed surroundings. Throughout the summer,
we make use of our beautiful surrounings and eat outside on our two terraces, one with a fireplace.
