We have our own beautiful walled kitchen garden at Whitley Ridge where we grow our own, Herbs Fruit and Vegetables which we use as inspiration for our ever changing seasonal menu!
Please come along and check it out, our head chef James Golding would be more than happy to show you around and give you a few tasters! I was lucky enough to taste some Beetroot Chard which has just come into season and it was absolutely delicious. Let us know what you think!

Hi Bridget. Thank you for your comment. The Walled Garden has always existed as a structure, but it was lifeless. It was due to James's (our head chef) passion for food and local produce which transformed it into a Walled Kitchen Garden. James started by planting a few herbs and slowly this has grown to vegetables, herbs, wild flowers - everything and anything he can produce. Our menus here at Whitley have also evolved with the Walled Kitchen Garden. You will now see that most of the dishes will be accompanied with a Whitley garden salad, or vegetables from the garden. Have you been on a tour around the garden?
The walled garden is just beautiful. Did you design it in-house?
